Job DetailsJob Location: Pontiac Correctional Center - Pontiac, IL 61764Position Type: Per DiemEducation Level: High School Diploma/GEDTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: As NeededJob Category: Administrative & ClericalCenturion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections.  We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Records Clerk to join our team at Pontiac Correctional Center located in Lincoln, Illinois. The Medical Records Clerk maintains offender health records, retrieves health records for scheduled appointments, files offender health data, initiates records for new or transferred intakes.  They review health records for completeness, files records as required, prepares reports as needed and more. Shift: as needed - 8hr shifts on days - required 16 hours per month (2x per month) Pay rate: $20.49/hr (flat PRN rate) + PRN differential  Qualifications High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree Certification by the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred but not required Prior experience with medical records and services Completion of a medical terminology course preferred Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
