A well-established fire protection contractor with 20+ years in the industry is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Technician to support commercial service, inspections, and repairs in the Savannah market.
What You’ll Do
- Perform fire sprinkler inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with NFPA standards and local AHJ requirements
- Conduct and document annual, quarterly, and deficiency inspections
- Identify deficiencies and clearly communicate required corrective actions
- Coordinate with building engineers, property managers, and general contractors
- Perform hydrostatic testing, including fire department connections (FDCs)
- Service and troubleshoot wet, dry, preaction, and deluge systems
- Support fire pump testing when required (service coordination level)
- Complete accurate inspection reports and service documentation
- Maintain a professional jobsite presence and represent the company well
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on fire sprinkler experience (commercial required)
- NICET certification preferred (Fire Sprinkler Systems)
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA 13, 25, and applicable local codes
- Ability to demonstrate experience in the field
- Comfortable working independently and managing daily service calls
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in quality work
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50 lbs independently and 100 lbs with assistance
Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and heights above 10 feet
Ability to work in confined spaces and mechanical rooms
Able to stand, bend, climb, crouch, reach, push, and pull throughout the day
Able to work in hot, cold, and noisy environments typical of construction sites
