We’re excited to be expanding into Savannah, marking our first facility in the market. This new location represents a major milestone for Porter Logistics and offers a unique opportunity to help launch, shape, and grow operations from the ground up while being supported by an established, Atlanta-based organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Own all outbound shipments for assigned clients and order streams
- Oversee picking, staging, and final verification of outbound orders
- Perform final quality checks to confirm order accuracy, quantities, and labeling
- Ensure orders ship on the correct day using the correct carrier and service level
- Complete and verify all outbound shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, labels)
- Serve as the primary escalation point for outbound order issues or exceptions
- Partner closely with Customer Success to resolve order discrepancies and client inquiries
- Monitor and drive on-time shipping and outbound accuracy KPIs
- Support value-added services as required (kitting, labeling, special packaging)
- Operate forklifts and assist with picking/staging as needed
- Enforce safety, process, and quality standards across outbound operations
- Act as a floor leader, setting expectations and holding the team accountable
- 3+ years of warehouse experience with a focus on outbound shipping operations
- Prior lead or senior operator experience preferred
- Strong understanding of shipping processes, carriers, and documentation
- Forklift experience across multiple lift types
- Experience working in a WMS environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Strong communication skills and customer-first mindset
- Positive, team-player mentality with a sense of urgency and ownership
