Experienced Service Plumber
Position Summary
Jenkins Plumbing is seeking an experienced Service Plumber to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and skilled at diagnosing, repairing, and installing residential plumbing systems. This position requires excellent troubleshooting abilities, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Perform service calls involving water heaters, toilets, faucets, garbage disposals, drain systems, water lines, sewer lines, and other plumbing components.
- Install, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures, piping, water heaters, and related equipment.
- Accurately identify plumbing issues and explain repair options to customers in a professional manner.
- Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a clean and respectful work environment.
- Complete service tickets, estimates, invoices, and required documentation accurately and on time.
- Operate company vehicles safely and maintain tools, equipment, and inventory.
- Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes, company standards, and safety regulations.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and report inventory needs.
- Work collaboratively with dispatch, management, and fellow team members to ensure efficient scheduling and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of residential service plumbing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, fixtures, and repair techniques.
- Ability to diagnose plumbing issues quickly and recommend effective solutions.
- Experience installing and servicing water heaters, fixtures, drain systems, and water supply lines.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plumbing schematics is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work in various environments.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Preferred Skills
- Tankless water heater experience.
- Drain cleaning and sewer camera inspection experience.
- Leak detection experience.
- Experience using tablets or mobile field service software.
- Cross-connection or backflow certification is a plus.
