The Control Valve Technician I role involves following Quality Standardization Procedures for valve repair, utilizing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to identify contaminated valves, and recognizing missing parts. Responsibilities include learning valve repair according to company standards, and gaining introductory knowledge of shop equipment such as test stands, disassembly  and assembly tools. The position also requires readiness for manufacturer training.Â

- Follow ValvKeep and Quality Standardization Procedures for all aspects of the valve repair processÂ
- Familiar with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and able to recognize a contaminated valveÂ
- Recognition of missing partsÂ
- Learn valve repair according to company standardsÂ
- Access and navigate BH MARC Channel Connect (SIS only)Â
- Introductory knowledge of shop equipment such as test stands, disassembly and assembly tools.Â
- Ready for manufacturer trainingÂ

- HS Education or GED EquivalentÂ
- Previous control valve experienceÂ
Skills & AbilitiesÂ
- Safety and quality-mindedÂ
- Recognize control valve componentsÂ
- Basic computer knowledgeÂ
- Organized and detail-orientedÂ
- Demonstrate effective time management skillsÂ
- Successful completion of Masoneilan Valve University Levels 101-103 (SIS only)Â
- Successful completion of all applicable Quality Standardization ProceduresÂ
- Completed CV Level I training course certificationÂ
- Successful completion of Control Valve Level I Written and Performance TestsÂ
- Demonstrated proficiency of disassembly, lapping, testing, applicable codes and standardsÂ
- Demonstrated mechanical skills, basic mathematical skills, and ability to use measurement equipmentÂ
- Basic OSHA and TWIC card (TWIC, only if required)Â
- Basic oral & written communication skillsÂ
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers as a representative of the companyÂ
- Demonstrated understanding of the field job processÂ
- Demonstrated “can do” attitude and excellent customer service skills Â
- Close Supervision RequiredÂ
- Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelinesÂ
- Clear background check and drug/alcohol screeningÂ
Essential Physical FunctionsÂ

- Lifting: up to 50 poundsÂ
- Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions Â
- Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feetÂ
- Bending, stooping, walking and climbing stairsÂ
- Able to pass periodic medical evaluations and respirator fit tests to ensure continued compliance with OSHA standards.Â
