This position will be located in our Ft. Mill, SC site. This position will be a Hybrid role with about 30% travel requirements.
This position will be dedicated to leading all Productivity Solutions and Services (PSS) logistics activities which will include direct/indirect management of regional logistics personnel and 3PL warehousing teams to ensure flawless performance from order to delivery. Will drive improvements and productivity for logistics/warehousing aspects via major KPIs such as inbound/outbound logistics performance, cost, inventory, Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA), annual physical inventory, safety compliance, on-time
delivery
- Primary responsibility will be to lead the Freight and Distribution (end to end) requirements for
the PSS business. - The PSS Logistics Director will partner with Manufacturing, Sourcing, IT, SIOP, Finance and Sales
to manage the distribution and transport strategy put in place to meet the needs of
manufacturing and sales (customers) - Ensure a full adherence to trade compliance standards
- Provide input for the development of the annual STRAP and AOP for Logistics
- Responsible to report on Key metrics (AOP, Performance, Analysis) for monthly reporting
around logistics metrics - Ensure optimization of annual freight and distribution spend
- Lead Logistics teams for transitions, ERP/SAP deployments, and Productivity Projects, such as
TMS and freight payment programs. - Initiate and drive productivity projects and track results.
- Ensuring relevant key site metrics are reported and productivity actions sustained through
regular site Governance reviews (MOS) and the site self-assessment OP/EX audit process. - Act as Key logistics escalation contact with carriers and 3PL service providers, ensuring 3PLs are
performing to the SOW agreement. - Ensure productivity and best practice standards are maintained
- Possess a strong understanding of TMS applications, SAP ERP, and other current state of the art
technologies to drive improvements through simplification and automation of processes. Drive
broad deployment across regions, and leverage the TMS tools to improve cost and service - Ensure sites comply with all Dangerous Goods global training and documentation/transport regulations.
- Develop strong and effective relationships with suppliers and service providers
- Ensure strong collaboration with key stakeholders including functional and Site leaders regionally and globally as appropriate
