We are seeking a Resident Support Technician to be the primary contact for residents, ensuring their safety and compliance with the program. This role is an excellent opportunity, particularly for individuals seeking healthcare experience. Position: Resident Support Technician Location: In-Person, Port Hueneme, California Current Shift Available: 3:00pm - 11:30pm (must be available to work at least one weekend day) Duties may include but are not limited to: Assisting in the intake process, handling incoming calls, room changes, and passes. Assisting residents with daily schedules and activities. Monitoring resident detoxification process by regularly checking on residents according to assigned intervals. Conducting bag searches, random searches, and collecting UDS (Urine Drug Screens) from residents as directed. Ensuring resident compliance with facility rules and guidelines. Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred Driver's License: Current, valid California Driver License with a good driving record (per company discretion) Additional Qualifications: Regular driving of company vehicles. Regular local travel among company locations. Must fulfill pre-employment conditions: tuberculosis screening (annually thereafter), background check (including criminal and driving record check), drug screening, and reference checks. Ongoing monitoring and screenings during employment in accordance with the law and company policy. Very Competitive rates and a robust benefits package, including student loan repayment assistance.   Qualification Guidelines: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Good written and verbal communication skills Skills in time management and crisis intervention Basic knowledge of chemical dependency and psychological disorders Ability to summarize pertinent clinical information via written documentation Must be able to address and prioritize multiple task demands within established time frames Must be flexible in work hours in order to meet facility needs Must maintain self-control in volatile or hostile situations, such as when verbally or physically confronted Must be able to set therapeutic limits and maintain therapeutic distance with clients and maintain therapeutic boundaries with clients during treatment and after discharge Able to maintain confidentiality Exceptional customer service skills Basic computer skills including Word and Outlook Knowledge of HIPAA preferred Ability to use PPE as directed Experience dealing with patients or clients in a hospital or mental healthcare facility preferred Education / Experience / Credentials: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred Experience in a chemical dependency setting preferred Current CPR / 1st Aid certification required Current, valid California Driver License with good driving record (in sole discretion of company) required Experience dealing with patients or clients in a hospital or mental healthcare facility preferred Physical Demands: Normal demands associated with an office and residential environment Frequently stand, walk, and sit Frequently reach above, at, or below waist height Frequently kneel, bend, stoop, turn, and twist Frequently lift and carry up to 10lbs., occasionally 20-50lbs Work on computers for periods of time Recognize faces Distinguish colors as necessary Hear sufficiently and speak clearly on the telephone, in person, and in the environment, identify and distinguish sounds associated with the workplace See adequately to read computer screens and written documents necessary to the position Work Environment Office environment with moderate noise level Residential environment with moderate noise level Other This position requires regular driving of company vehicles.
