Advanced Practice Provider-PD

Located in Port Jefferson, the St. Charles Campus of Good Samaritan University Hospital combines advanced clinical expertise with a longstanding commitment to compassionate care. Advanced Practice Providers Responsibilities include:

• St. Charles Campus APP's are available to our patients and their families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Deliver care from admission to discharge
• Order and follow up on test results, and adjust treatment if needed 

Advanced Practice Provider Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications are required
• NYS Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner License or Limited Permit
• Must be able to work a varied schedule including weekend rotations.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and effective communications skills to enhance patient care, team collaboration and analytical problem solving 
• Must be able to multitask and follow through. 
• Must have working knowledge of MS Office and be able to work with an electronic medical record
