Patient Access Representative

Located in Port Jefferson, the St. Charles Campus of Good Samaritan University Hospital combines advanced clinical expertise with a longstanding commitment to compassionate care. The Patient Access Representative is responsible:

•  Patient intake,
• Scheduling and registering patients
• Verifying insurances,
• Tracking insurance authorizations,
• Collecting copays,
• Answering phones and providing general administrative support functions.

 Requirements:

•  High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. 
• Strong communication and customer service skills and be able to work in a fast-paced front office environment. 
• Must be able to multitask, prioritize duties, and have strong organizational skills. 
• Experience in an outpatient setting is strongly preferred but not required.
