Safety&Security Officer

Located in Port Jefferson, the St. Charles Campus of Good Samaritan University Hospital combines advanced clinical expertise with a longstanding commitment to compassionate care. The Safety and Security Officer ensures the safety of all staff, visitors and patients in the Hospital. 

Responsibilities:

• Patrols the Hospital and grounds
• Monitors visitors, lighting and illegal parking
• Reviews conditions of the parking fields, curbing and sidewalks.  
• Enforces all security regulations and is part of the Hospital Emergency Management Response Team.
• Writes incident reports as required and performs other related duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

• Qualified candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Security Officer License in NYS. 
• Previous experience in Law Enforcement preferred. 
• Valid Driver's License is required.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
