Position Outline

Due to the continued growth and expansion of our business, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Mechanical Engineer based in our Port Lavaca, Texas office.

The Mechanical Engineer will be assigned onsite at client location in Point Comfort, Texas.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Read, interpret, and approve engineering drawings and specifications.
Engineering support for Mechanical discipline with ability to work independently.
Provide Mechanical Engineering support for assigned projects.
Apply skills with technical knowledge in the application of mechanical and PCE equipment (Process Containment Equipment).
Design pressure vessels, rotating equipment, process containment equipment, piping systems, skids units, and some process design.
Knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems, applicable codes, and standards to ensure the most effective design is in compliance with Safety and Loss Prevention principles, industry standards and local codes and regulations.
Performing mechanical equipment specification and procurement.
Providing estimates of work to be performed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

BS Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge in Production and Processing of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Team player able to work effectively with other disciplines.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills are a must.
Comfortable with fast-paced work environment. Quick learner.
Excellent problem solving skills and documentation/procedural skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Safety and detail focused.
Strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
