As a Pharmacy Technician 2 you will work in an in-person, Patient facing position that supports the efforts of our Retail Clinic Pharmacy. You will obtain new prescriptions and prescription refill information. You will also perform a variety of activities to support administrative, operational, and customer needs.
You will anticipate being on your feet, handle multiple tasks to fulfill a medication and answer patients' questions, in person and over the phone.

The Pharmacy Technician 2 will report to a Pharmacist Lead. Responsibilities include:

  • Retrieve, count, and measures drugs.
  • Assist Pharmacist with price-checking and restocking of drugs.
  • Access, input, and retrieve prescription information from computer.
  • Refer physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist.
  • Operate a cash register.
  • Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.
  • Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards.
  • Follow standard policies and practices and resources to support assignments.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Required Qualifications

  • Must have an active Pharmacy Technician license in in the state of Florida
  • Must have National Certification (PTCB), or the ability to obtain within the first 12 months of hire
  • Minimum two (2) years of Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Basic working knowledge using MS Office including Outlook, and ability to learn and use variety of platforms such as SharePoint, Teams, etc.
  • Must have a driver's license, with reliable transportation to transport office locations.
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program and will require a TB screening.
  • Must be willing to meet for an in-person interview with leader(s)

In this role, you will also be required to:

  • Stand for extended periods
  • Frequently walk
  • Bend, and reach with hands and arms
  • Lift and move up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Certified Immunizer

  • There may be a requirement to cover in Ormond, and Orange City areas.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30AM TO 5:00PM Closed for Lunch at 12:30-1PM
