Student Worker-Financial Aid Office Assistant

Job DetailsJob Location: 20 - Florida Campus - Port Orange, FL 32129Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain and organize confidential student financial files in accordance with FERPA requirements. Create and organize new student financial aid and financial files. Assist with filing, purging, scanning, and approved shredding of confidential records. Assist with student account statement mailings and other student communications. Prepare labels, forms, graduation materials, orientation packets, and exit interview packets. Assist with registration activities, including distributing and collecting student forms and information. Keep student forms and office materials stocked. Assist students and staff with obtaining necessary information and documents. Provide general clerical support and assist with special projects as assigned. Maintain strict confidentiality of all student information and records. QualificationsQualifications and Requirements Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 with no history of academic probation. Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems and processes. Typing speed of approximately 30–40 words per minute with minimal errors. Ability to communicate effectively, follow directions, and maintain confidentiality. Ability to understand and comply with FERPA and College policies and procedures. Ability to stand, bend, and use standard office equipment as needed. Work Environment Work is performed in a professional, climate-controlled office environment. Length of Employment Employment begins on the date of hire and continues until separation by the student or supervisor, or until the student graduates from Palmer College, whichever occurs first.
