Job DetailsJob Location: 20 - Florida Campus - Port Orange, FL 32129***This position is only open to current Palmer College of Chiropractic students*** The Anatomy Lab Monitor is responsible for supervising scheduled Open Anatomy Lab sessions and maintaining a safe, respectful, and organized learning environment. This position helps ensure the proper handling and accountability of anatomical specimens, supports laboratory operations, and promotes compliance with departmental safety policies. Essential Responsibilities Open, supervise, and secure the Anatomy Lab during scheduled Open Lab sessions. Ensure only authorized students enter the laboratory and follow all laboratory policies and safety procedures. Maintain a respectful learning environment that honors human donors. Monitor, track, and properly store anatomical specimens using established chain-of-custody procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment. Assist students in locating approved anatomical resources. Report safety concerns, equipment issues, damaged or missing specimens, and other incidents to supervising faculty. Respond appropriately to emergencies by contacting faculty, Campus Security, or other designated personnel. Qualifications  Current Palmer College student eligible for work-study. Successful completion of Gross Anatomy I & II with a minimum grade of B. Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Willingness to complete required laboratory safety training. Working Conditions Work is performed in the Anatomy Laboratory with exposure to preserved human anatomical specimens and laboratory chemicals. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. Position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting laboratory materials during shifts. Reports to: Department Head or Assigned Supervisor Student Employment: Employment is contingent upon continued enrollment at Palmer College of Chiropractic and may end upon graduation, separation from the College, or at the discretion of the student, supervisor, or the Office of Financial Planning.
