Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Actively educate guests on deli products and provide legendary service that keeps the community coming back.
- Team Leadership: Support the management of up to 10 employees. You'll share responsibilities for scheduling and conducting annual performance evaluations.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure the department strictly adheres to all health and food safety regulations. You will lead by example in maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
- Inventory & Operations: Maintain precise inventory levels and manage department products with a focus on quality and freshness.
- Technical Execution: Demonstrate expert-level efficiency and safety when operating hazardous equipment, including slicers, mixers, and ovens.
What We're Looking For:
- Self-Motivated Leaders: Talented individuals who can multitask, think on their feet, and contribute to the store's long-term vision.
- Reliability & Integrity: A high standard of honesty and ethics in all dealings with employees, vendors, and guests.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work comfortably in a fast-paced kitchen/deli environment.
- Experience: Previous deli or food service experience is a plus, but a passion for the industry is a must.
