We are looking for a talented individual to join our meat department as a Meat Cutter. As a Meat Cutter with our company, you will be responsible for working closely with the Meat Manager in order to ensure the success of the store and department through excellent customer service and a demonstrated passion for food. The Meat Cutter will actively engage and educate customers about our company's meat and seafood products and demonstrate a high level of integrity with department products, department employees, and our customers. A respect for detail by the Meat Cutter will ensure that we remain focused on creating a wonderful experience for our customers. Meat Cutters need to lead by example and are expected to create a clean and safe environment for all those who visit our stores.


As a Meat Cutter, you will need to:

  • Receive, unload, and put away product delivery.
  • Break down beef, pork, lamb, and poultry products.
  • Prepare specialty merchandise like sausage, ready-to-cook products, and cured meats.
  • Explain cooking techniques for all meats and cuts to the customer.
  • Train and mentor other Team Members on how to cut and prepare various meats.
  • Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices.
  • Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
  • Must demonstrate efficiency and delicacy with potentially hazardous equipment (slicers, heated wrapping stations, butcher knives, etc.).
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
