Security Specialist

Summary: 

Clover Park, the spring training home of the New York Mets, is seeking dedicated and professional Security Specialiststo join our Public Safety team. Security Specialists play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of all guests, employees, players, and property. This position involves providing excellent customer service while maintaining a visible and proactive security presence throughout the ballpark and surrounding facilities. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to maintain a safe environment 

• Conduct routine patrols of interior and exterior areas, including seating, concourses, parking lots, and team facilities 

• Enforce stadium rules, regulations, and policies in a professional and customer-focused manner 

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and medical emergencies according to established procedures 

• Assist with crowd management during games, practices, and special events 

• Provide information and assistance to guests, staff, and vendors 

• Document security activity, incidents, and observations in daily reports 

• Work cooperatively with local law enforcement, fire, EMS, and other public safety partners 

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor or management 

Qualifications 

• High school diploma or GED required 

• Valid Florida Class “D” Security Officer License (or ability to obtain before start date) 

• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred but not required 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally 

• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions 

• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during events and baseball season 

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
