Certified Medical Assistant to assist physician with the daily operations of the physician’s office. Maintains efficient patient flow and assists with patient care, i.e. exams, procedures and patient education under the direction and supervision of a physician. Performs triage, monitors and records vitals of all visiting patients. Ensures medical documentation of office visits. Assist with Office and scheduling coordinator in their absence (if necessary).Â
Responsibilities
- Assist physician with the daily operations of the physician’s officeÂ
- Maintains efficient patient flow and assists with patient care, i.e. exams, procedures and patient education under the direction and supervision of a physicianÂ
- Performs triage, monitors and records vitals of all visiting patientÂ
- Perform EKG and Phlebotomy, as applicableÂ
- Ensures medical documentation of office visitsÂ
- Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate mannerÂ
Qualifications
Education:Â
Required: High school diploma or GEDÂ
Required: Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting ProgramÂ

Certification:Â
Required: Medical Assistant Certification required through one of the following; National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or Healthcare Professional Registry of the US (HPRUS) (Will allow 90 days to obtain certification)Â
Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS)Â

Required: Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school OR three years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting in lieu of Medical Assistant diplomaÂ
Preferred: At least one year of relevant work experienceÂ
