Construction Manager – LNG Projects

These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

KBR is looking for a Construction Manager with LNG project expertise to lead and oversee the safe, efficient, and successful execution of large-scale LNG construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing multidisciplinary construction teams, contractors, and stakeholders throughout all phases of LNG facility development, including liquefaction plants, regasification terminals, gas processing facilities, and related infrastructure.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage all field construction activities for LNG projects from mobilization through commissioning and handover.

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and regulatory obligations.

  • Lead and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and construction personnel to achieve project goals.

  • Monitor construction schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.

  • Identify and mitigate construction risks while driving timely resolution of field issues.

  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Conduct regular progress reviews, site inspections, and safety audits.

  • Implement and promote a strong safety culture aligned with company and industry standards.

  • Prepare and present project updates, reports, and forecasts to senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Support commissioning, startup, and project closeout activities.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline OR equivalent construction experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of construction management experience, including significant LNG project experience.

  • Demonstrated experience managing large EPC, EPCM, or owner-led LNG projects.

  • Strong knowledge of LNG facility construction, cryogenic systems, piping, structural steel, mechanical equipment, and commissioning requirements.

  • Proven leadership experience managing large field teams and multiple contractors.

  • Comprehensive understanding of OSHA requirements and industry safety standards.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with project management and construction reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with greenfield LNG export terminals, import terminals, or liquefaction facilities.

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials.

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.

  • Experience working in multinational and fast-paced project environments.
