Job Summary

Planning, scheduling, and tracking loads/shipment activities and maintaining accurate

records. Identifying traffic problems and/or issues, creating appropriate corrective

action plans to achieve desirable results on time. Communicating with carriers, freight

forwarders, and internal & external customer support to schedule shipment activities.

Performing administrative tasks efficiently to deliver high-quality service to all parties.

Utilize WMS to update required information that complies with customer requirements,

procedures, and regulations. Correspond with customers and report client requests.

Continued knowledge of industry relevant laws, regulations, and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for processing all types of outbound orders (EDI, Loose, Case) including

processing all the paperwork to expedite the shipments in accordance to each

customer’s routing guides and shipping requirements.

• Arrange shipping and associated logistic requirements for all outbound property; both

domestic and internationally. Work closely with key partners in outbound logistics,

including customers and freight providers.

• Obtain quotes from shippers and other related service providers for shipments and select

the most suitable option for our internal and external clients.

• Responsible for scheduling domestic pick-ups, WEB tendering of all Parcel and LTL

shipments.

• Communicate any issues concerning a sales order or items that interfere/delay the

processing of shipments to the Shipping Supervisor, Shipping Lead and/or Warehouse

Manager.

• Review, prepare, and route purchase orders.

• Ensure the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments, monitoring shipments,

costs, timelines, and productivity.

• Address and resolve shipment and inventory issues.

• Verifies and keeps records of outgoing shipments to verify information against Bills of

Lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

• Monitor daily tracking reports from carriers from carrier portals.

• Report any issues concerning the RED BOOK to the Shipping Supervisor and Shipping

Lead, understanding instructions for each account.

• Ensure that items are loaded onto shipment vehicle in a safe and timely manner.

• Replenishing of pallets and any other related supplies needed for processing daily orders.

• Keep the shipping stations organized and clean according to 6S standards.

• Ensure the closing of dock doors, shutting off the fans, computers, lights, conveyor and

Hi- Lo by the end of the shift.

• Perform other related duties as required.

• Report any safety issues to Shipping Lead or Shipping Supervisor.

Skills & Competencies:

• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize and reorganize workload to

meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize time sensitive situations in a fast-paced

environment.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and coordination abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as working as a team is vital to

maintaining an organized warehouse.

• Able to demonstrate attention to details and follow through.

• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes.

• Team player and can collaborate with others.

Requirements

• Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily

standing.

• Ability to lift 20lbs when necessary.

• Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of programs (Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel &

Outlook), Warehouse Management System experience preferred.

• Bilingual Preferred.

• At least 1-2 years of industry experience.

The expected base salary for this position is estimated. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, budget, and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in our company's profit-sharing program.
