Sales and Marketing Leader - Portage, MI

DISHER is partnering with a local construction company to identify a Sales & Marketing Leader to join their Residential Group in Portage, MI. This individual will own the residential sales and marketing engine end‑to‑end—shaping brand, demand, and client experience across all communities and product types while driving predictable, profitable revenue growth.

What you will get to do:
  • Lead residential sales and marketing strategy as part of the Residential Group Leadership Team.​
  • Champion an end‑to‑end, client‑centric “Blue Ribbon” experience from first inquiry through post‑sale support.​
  • Develop and execute sales plans, targets, and forecasts across all residential product types.​
  • Analyze market trends, buyer behavior, and competition to refine pricing, positioning, and campaigns.​
  • Own marketing strategy and community positioning, ensuring each neighborhood has a clear, compelling value proposition.​
  • Elevate and steward this company's residential brand to support deeper market penetration and regional growth.​
  • Partner early with Development on future communities, bringing market, buyer, and brand insights into planning and design.​
  • Maintain a forward‑looking pipeline of showcase homes aligned with demand, design trends, and brand standards.​
  • Lead digital marketing and CRM strategy (SEO/SEM, email, social, website, and lead management) to drive qualified traffic and conversion.​
  • Ensure sales tools, contracts, homeowner materials, and specs are accurate, current, and on‑brand.​
  • Represent the brand at events, open houses, Parade of Homes, and key industry/community partnerships.


What will make you successful:
  • 15+ years of progressive sales and marketing experience, with 10+ years in leadership, ideally in residential construction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Real Estate, or related field.​
  • Proven success leading integrated sales + marketing teams and owning revenue growth, brand strategy, and go‑to‑market execution.​
  • Strong command of digital marketing, demand generation, and website/lead conversion optimization.​
  • Advanced proficiency with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, BuilderTrend) and data‑driven reporting.​
  • Ability to translate business goals into clear, measurable sales and marketing plans and KPIs.​
  • Strategic, innovative thinker with a bias for action and comfort in a fast‑moving, growth‑oriented environment.​
  • Collaborative leader who builds strong cross‑functional relationships with Development, Construction & Operations, Finance, and People & Culture.​
  • Executive‑level communication skills and presence, internally and with clients and community partners.​
  • Customer‑centric mindset with a passion for delivering consistent, high‑quality experiences across the full homeowner journey.​
