The Senior Manager, EHS – Americas is responsible for leading the execution of Stryker’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) strategy across commercial offices, R&D laboratories,  distribution centers, and some manufacturing locations throughout the Americas. This role partners closely with commercial business leaders, EHS Centers of Excellence, and cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce operational risk, strengthen safety culture, and drive continuous improvement in environmental, health, and safety performance.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the deployment and execution of regional EHS strategies, programs, standards, and initiatives aligned with global objectives and business priorities.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations while maintaining audit readiness across all facilities.

  • Drive proactive risk management, hazard identification, incident prevention, and corrective action implementation to reduce workplace injuries and environmental impact.

  • Monitor EHS performance metrics, manage budgets, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workplace safety, driver safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.

  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs that build organizational capability and foster a culture of safety, accountability, and compliance.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of EHS professionals while serving as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to site and business leadership.

  • Provide leadership during EHS incidents, ensuring effective response, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and lessons learned are implemented across the organization.

What You Need

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 10 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, distribution, commercial offices, pharmaceutical, medical device, or other highly regulated industries.

  • Minimum 7 years of EHS leadership experience with responsibility for multiple sites, business units, or geographic regions.

Preferred:

  • Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or ISO 14001/45001 Lead Auditor.

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent).

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certification.

  

 

United States of America Pay Range:

$118,000 - $196,700 USD Annual
