 JOB SUMMARY: 3rd shift The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining large industrial textile processing equipment, as well as facility maintenance. Tasks include start-up and shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, maintaining and operating boilers, welding and cutting, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and other systems

  • Assists Maintenance Manager with all plant maintenance operations, ensuring that plant premises and equipment are kept in safe and clean condition
  • Assists in building a maintenance program that optimizes the plant’s uptime, considers costs, and satisfies all industry regulations and OSHA guidelines
  • Complete PMs. Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment and document the work done without direct supervision
  • Monitor equipment and ensure it is kept in good working order. Work closely with management to repair or replace equipment as needed
  • Monitor boilers and associated equipment for proper operation
  • Assist outside contractors with repairing and installing machinery
  • Able to apply general plumbing and HVAC skills to maintain equipment and facility
  • Always complies with company policies and procedures
  • Maintains a neat and clean working area throughout the day
  • Operate forklift to unload and load trucks.
  • Other duties as assigned, as required by scope of work or customer needs.


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience is required
  • Punctuality and reliability is a must.
  • Honesty and exceptional work ethic.
  • Ability to solve problems independently.
  • High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 2ndt Class B Boilers Operator License preferred.


Physical Demands

  • Continual standing and walking during shift.
  • Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching during shift.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift over 80 pounds.
  • Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals.


Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • Must be able to work OT and weekends as needed
