Job Responsibilities Include: 

  • Evaluating manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement; determining resolutions and implementing improvements. 

  • Innovating, researching and developing new processes, equipment use, and products. 

  • Creating test protocols, parts, and fixtures; establishing testing procedures and requirements for optical characterizations; specifying and qualifying optical components. 

  • Supporting analysis of collected data; collecting, processing, and analyzing camera images and 3D depth data; preparing detailed reports. 

  • Writing procedures for operations and equipment use. 

  • Developing and benchmarking system performance models. 

  • Following detailed instructions and procedures; prioritizing assignments; working independently and completing assignments on time; staying organized and making decisions within assigned responsibilities; working as a team member. 

  • Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing. 

  • Performing other duties at the Departmental Manager’s discretion. 

SAFETY: 

  • Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to Micro-LAM Company Policies. 

  • Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, etc.: 

  • Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to management and/or safety Committee Members immediately. 

  • Special Safety Instructions – When operating the Machine, the Operator MUST wear safety Glasses. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Moderate walking, standing, heavy lifting (50lbs), carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching required for this job description. 

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience with Manufacturing, Test Equipment & Quality Systems. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 

  • High level of technical expertise. 

  • Collaborate well with others. 

EDUCATION: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or equivalent work experience. 

  • Manufacturing experience and/or training desired.
