Function/Duties of Position

The full-time annual base salary range for this position is: Assistant Professor $207,962 to $220,756 / Associate Professor $210,981 to $223,960; commensurate with experience and rank. Base pay does not include incentive pay, hiring bonuses, or additional benefits such as retirement contributions.

 

 

The duties of this position include:

 

Clinical Activities (not related to teaching or research):

Provide care to pediatric patients who require expertise and treatment for diseases arising from or complicated by allergies or immunological diseases.   Provide leadership and subject matter expert to the Department of Pediatrics, Doernbecher Hospital and the surrounding community of pediatricians in Oregon and SW Washington. The position will provide both inpatient and outpatient consultation and ongoing care for patients requiring monitoring.  This position works closely with the bone marrow transplant program, pulmonology, gastroenterology, critical care, infectious diseases and adult allergy and immunology.  

 

Scholarly Activities (research/writing, abstracts, grant supported work, presentations, etc.):

OHSU Pediatric faculty members participate in scholarly activities which include educating learners as outlined below, but may also include program and curriculum development, research, and other grant supported work or academic papers and presentations in disciplines related to their field of expertise.

 

Education (include types of teaching and types of student taught):

Faculty provide clinical education to fellows, residents, and medical students.

 

Administrative Activities:

OHSU faculty members are required to participate in faculty meetings at the division and department level.  All pediatric faculty members are expected to aid the division head and department chair in providing direction to the division and the department both on a day-to-day basis and as part of ongoing strategic planning.

 

Other Activities:

Faculty members may be called upon to serve on OHSU committees and in other activities as directed by the department chair or division head in furtherance of division, department, or OHSU goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Immunology and Allergy.
