Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW) is hiring two Back Office Clinic Assistants to join our Northeast Health Center – Family Planning team. One position has a preference for bilingual Spanish candidates.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll be part of the clinical team supporting patients through their visit and helping create a safe, respectful, and efficient experience.

On a typical day, you might:

  • Room patients, take vital signs, and prepare them for their visit
  • Support providers during exams and procedures
  • Assist with lab work, including specimen collection and processing
  • Clean, stock, and prepare exam rooms and instruments
  • Answer patient questions and help them feel informed and at ease
  • Work closely with your team to keep the clinic running smoothly

You'll play an essential role in delivering high-quality sexual and reproductive health care while helping ensure every patient is treated with dignity and respect.

Schedule & Location

These are full-time positions (37.5 hours/week) at our Northeast Health Center – Family Planning.

We are currently hiring for two schedules:

Position 1

 
Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday
11:30am–7:30pm 9:30am–5:30pm 11:30am–7:30pm 9:30am–5:30pm 9:30am–5:30pm

No language requirement

Position 2

Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday
7:30am–3:30pm 11:30am–7:30pm 7:30am–3:30pm 8:30am–4:30pm 8:30am–4:30pm

Bilingual Spanish preferred

Candidates must be able to reliably work the schedule for the position they are selected for.

Occasional work at other times, days, or PPCW locations may be required to support operational needs.

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service or high-volume environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patients and coworkers
  • Comfort working independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a medical setting or working directly with patients
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)
  • Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, or CNA certification
  • Spanish language skills

Pay & Growth

$20.37 – $29.68/hour

Pay is based on experience and internal equity, with opportunities to grow over time.

Additional Pay Opportunities

  • Bilingual premium: +$1.72/hour
  • Interpreter-level premium: +$3.44/hour
  • After 6 months, you may be eligible for additional clinic responsibilities that include extra hourly pay
