JM - Dining Services - Dining HallJob Summary/Basic Function
Dining Services supports campus food service operations. This role is ideal for
individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are committed to providing quality service to students, faculty, and staff.
General Summary of Job Duties
Odd Jobs
• Taking out trash, recyclables or boxes as needed.
• Check with the Chefs and Cooks as to which equipment needs to be cleaned up
to and including large kettles, walls, wacks and other various equipment.
• Work on any special tasks assigned by the Supervisor on Duty.
• Cleaning tables, sinks, carts.
• Sweeping, scrubbing and mopping of floors in the kitchen and serving areas
• Cleaning of dock area.
Pot Sink
• Wash all pots and pans thoroughly.
• Store all pots and pans upside down on appropriate shelves.
• Clean all utensils brought to the pot sink and then store in appropriate areas.
• Clean pot washing machine inside and out.
• Clean all shelving and walls in pot sink area.
• Taking out trash.
• Sweep and mop floor in pot sink area.
• Work on any special tasks as assigned by the Supervisor on Duty.
Janitorial
• Cleaning bathrooms.
• Sweeping and mopping hallways and bathrooms.
• Cleaning and vacuuming offices.
• Sweeping and mopping floors in Dining Hall.
• Sweeping and mopping Salad Department.
• Taking out trash.
• Cleaning refrigerator and freezer doors.
• Cleaning hallway walls.
• Assisting Odd Jobs or Pots as needed.
• Work on any special tasks as assigned by the Supervisor on Duty.
Serving
• Assist in stocking, serving of food on our serving lines.
• Cleaning of serving line areas.
• Assisting on the grill serving line.
• Making sandwiches, cutting desserts.
• Any other special tasks as assigned by the Supervisor on Duty.
Preferred Qualifications Physical Requirements: Must be 16 years old and some high school wanted.

• Protective eye wear when using chemical cleaners
