Job Summary and Responsibilities:
The Fund Administration Accountant (FAA) is responsible for the processing of security contributions; administration of life insurance gifts; serving as backup for key financial functions such as preparing fund statements and generating spending policies; and providing financial information, reports and analysis to OCF’s donors, staff and other interested parties. This position works closely with other departments of the Foundation, particularly the Philanthropic Services department.Â
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribution Management Percentage of Time: 45%
- Manage brokerage account relationships, liquidate donated securities and prepare stock sale spreadsheets. Handle high volume of year-end stock gifts and coordinate with other staff, donors and their brokers to provide exceptional donor service
- Track life insurance policies; communicate with donors, insurance agents and insurance companies; and process requests for payment. Prepare and submit paperwork when insurance policies come to term
- Support the management and liquidation of other non-cash gifts such as real estate and business interests
- Fund Financial Management Percentage of Time: 50%
- Respond to requests for financial information for a variety of funds as requested by staff, donors, and other interested parties
- Assist donors, staff, and other interested parties in understanding fund financial information; conduct group trainings on occasionÂ
- Provide reports on contributions and fund data, in addition to participating in ad hoc business analysis and process improvement projects
- Serve as backup for the preparation of fund financial statements in coordination with multiple internal parties
- Serve as backup for the calculation of annual spending policies for all funds, and modify as needed
- Serve as backup for the assessment of administrative fees for all funds (monthly) and supporting organizations (quarterly)
- Respond to audit confirmation requests from auditors for OCF fund balance and activity information
- Marginal or Non-Essential Job Duties: Percentage of Time: 5%
- Provide backup support for other Finance and Fund Services staff as requested
- Participate on inter-departmental teams regarding organizational policies, processes and work environment

Qualifications:Â
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience and education in lieu of a degreeÂ
- Five or more years’ progressively responsible accounting, finance, or related experience, preferably in a non-profit organization
Required Professional Competencies:
- Strong oral and written communication skills: ability to convey information clearly and effectively, especially to those without a financial background
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in a network environment with enterprise-wide financial systems and integrated databases.Â
- Proficient in problem solving, analysis; uses appropriate level of judgment
- Excellent customer service skills; provides service that is courteous and competent, promoting trust and confidence
- Comprehensive knowledge of administrative and electronic filing procedures.
- Strong organizational skills: detail-oriented and accurate.Â
- Ability to prioritize and manage tasks efficiently, accurately and timely; ability to meet multiple deadlines and quickly shift priorities.
- Possess high standards for performance, demonstrates initiative and a willingness to improve and enhance responsibilities of the position.Â

 Compensation and Benefits:
- Hiring Range: $80,000 - $87,500 annually depending on experience.Â
- Salary offers are determined in conjunction with an internal pay equity assessment. This initial hiring range reflects our starting offer based on your skills and experience.
