GreenSavers is looking for an HVAC Installer – Level 2 to join our Portland team. This role is a great fit for someone with residential HVAC installation experience who can complete routine installation tasks with limited supervision and is ready to continue building their technical skills and independence.

You’ll work alongside experienced installers on high-efficiency residential HVAC systems while developing your skills in installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and customer service.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Install residential heat pumps, air conditioners, furnaces, water heaters, ventilation equipment, and ductwork with limited supervision.
  • Prepare job sites, protect customer property, and organize tools and materials.
  • Assist with equipment placement, line sets, condensate drains, duct connections, and system components.
  • Complete brazing, flaring, pressure testing, evacuation, and other refrigerant-related tasks within your training and certifications.
  • Install thermostats, controls, sensors, and related accessories.
  • Assist with system startup, testing, commissioning, and routine troubleshooting.
  • Complete required photos, checklists, material records, and other job documentation.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and team members and escalate issues when needed.

The Level 2 job description specifically includes installation of residential HVAC equipment and ductwork with limited supervision, along with job-site preparation and protection of customer property.


Requirements


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Previous residential HVAC installation experience.
  • Working knowledge of common HVAC tools, equipment, and installation practices.
  • Ability to complete routine installation tasks with limited supervision.
  • Developing skills in refrigerant piping, controls, ductwork, system startup, and troubleshooting.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and accurate job documentation.
  • Professional communication with customers and coworkers.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a hands-on field role that requires lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, using hand and power tools, and working in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
