GreenSavers is looking for an experienced HVAC Installer – Level 3 who can independently complete residential HVAC installations, troubleshoot issues in the field, and help support the development of newer installers.
You’ll work primarily with high-efficiency heat pumps and other residential HVAC systems while helping us deliver safe, high-quality installations and a great customer experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Independently complete standard residential HVAC installations, including ducted and ductless heat pumps, furnaces, water heaters, ventilation equipment, and ductwork.
- Plan equipment placement, line-set and condensate routes, duct connections, and other installation details.
- Braze and flare refrigerant piping, pressure-test, evacuate, charge, start up, and commission systems.
- Install and configure thermostats, controls, sensors, and electrical connections within your assigned scope.
- Troubleshoot installation, airflow, control, drainage, and equipment issues.
- Ensure work meets applicable codes, manufacturer specifications, and GreenSavers quality standards.
- Complete required job documentation and walk customers through system operation and maintenance.
- Help coach HVAC Trainees and Level 1–2 Installers on safe, high-quality installation practices.
Requirements
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong residential HVAC installation experience with the ability to independently complete standard installations.
- Experience with heat pumps, ductless systems, refrigerant piping, controls, ductwork, and system commissioning.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and commitment to safety and quality.
- Professional communication with customers and coworkers.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Even better: NATE or manufacturer certifications, inverter-driven heat pump experience, airflow/static pressure knowledge, Energy Trust of Oregon experience, or bilingual English/Spanish skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is a hands-on field role that requires lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, using hand and power tools, and working in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
