Patient Care Technician - Pre-Admit at Providence. St. Vincent Medical Center. This is a Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Day Shift position, from Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM.
Works closely with all members of the team to provide direct patient care to optimize positive patient care outcomes. Works independently and assists the registered nurse/nurse practitioner during clinic visits by providing the appropriate procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: For hires after 07/26/2023:
- Completion of a MA program (not required to maintain certification after hire), Or
- Completion of first semester nursing program, Or
- EMT program completion (not required to maintain certification after hire), Or equivalent educ/experience
- 1 year of acute patient care experience, Or
- 6 months experience in a direct patient care environment in providing clerical support related to Provider or Patient documentation or charting.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Experience with basic data entry.
- 6 months Phlebotomy skills. Must be proficient.
- Coursework/Training: EKG Training.
