Prep Cook , Portland Pub - Full Time

Deschutes Brewery is hiring for a full-time prep cook at our Portland pub! We are a fun, full-service kitchen that delivers high quality food, beer and experiences to our guests and staff. We are looking for new co-owners  who are driven, excel in a fast-paced kitchen, and are committed to the highest standards of quality and presentation with a guest first focus. Previous experience with scratch recipes in a full-service kitchen and knife skills are important for this role. Must have weekend availability!

What you'll be doing: 

• Preparing food following standardized recipes, following proper food preparation, rotation, storage and handling procedures
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment 
• Utilizing tools appropriately and following Standard Operating Procedures to ensure proper portions, minimize waste, and ensure food safety 

Requirements of the position:

• Previous cooking experience, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen
• Basic knife skills
• Scratch cooking knowledge
• Weekend availability
