The role, at a glance:
A Production Operator I works as part of a team to produce quality electronic equipment within a dynamic manufacturing environment. A Production Operator I flexes easily between tasks, and seeks to be proficient at all tasks within their assigned functional area. Compenation for this role is $17.50 per hour.

How you'll contribute:

  • Fabricates or assembles electronic equipment according to written work instructions

  • Delivers materials to point of consumption in response to Kanban signals

  • Flexes to multiple work areas daily based on established patterns

  • Accurately performs inventory transactions

  • Actively participates in daily in Tier 1 daily management system (DMS) meetings


You'll also support with:

  • Contributing to continuous improvement projects

  • Keeping work area well organized and clean

  • Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor

A successful candidate should have:

  • 0 – 1 years of related work experience

  • Must be able to work Monday - Thursday shift from 5:00AM to 3:30PM

  • Training in and experience with Lean manufacturing principles is preferred, but not required

  • Familiarity with computers and Windows based applications

  • Ability to adjust work pace in response to daily production data

  • Possesses excellent verbal and written skills in English

  • Must be able to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and diffuse challenging situations using acceptable and appropriate methods

  • Able to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • May be required to alternate schedules to meet production goals

  • Attendance is a critical function of this position


Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. periodically

  • Stand or sit for long periods

  • Perform tasks (that may be repetitive) that require reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking, stooping and/or bending

  • Work in an environment that generates OSHA permissible machine noise levels

  • Use tools that require fine hand skills

  • Visually, observe and differentiate small moving parts

  • Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required in designated areas
