The Program Coordinator – Optometry is a member of the care team that provides administrative support to the optometry department to ensure the seamless flow of patient care. This includes supporting the development, implementation, administration, operation, and daily coordination of assigned programs. The role organizes processes and systems and is responsible for developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners. Â
The Program Coordinator will serve as a secondary driver for the Mobile Medical Unit. This position is an on-site role and is not available for a hybrid or fully remote work schedule.
- Level 3 English is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) is required.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience in a medical office or hospital setting is preferred.
- Experience with health insurance plans, medical terminology, and health care regulations is preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records, Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- An active and unexpired driver’s license is required.Â
