Job Summary

The Senior Supply Chain Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and reporting on all activities associated with the manufacturing, expediting, transportation, importation, and delivery of owner-furnished equipment for Avangrid Power's utility-scale solar, energy storage, and wind generation projects.

This role serves as the primary supply chain interface between suppliers, transportation carriers, project teams, engineering, construction, and external stakeholders to ensure owner furnished equipment is delivered safely, compliantly, and on schedule.

The position oversees supplier production progress, customs clearance activities, and trade compliance requirements while proactively identifying and mitigating risks that could impact project milestones.

Equipment categories include, but are not limited to, wind turbines, photovoltaic (PV) modules, trackers, inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS), circuit breakers, and main power transformers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end logistics and material expediting activities for major equipment packages supporting utility-scale renewable energy projects.

  • Coordinate closely with suppliers to monitor production schedules, manufacturing progress, technical deliverables, shipment planning, and equipment deliveries.

  • Develop and maintain visibility into supplier manufacturing and logistics milestones, ensuring alignment with project schedules and contractual commitments.

  • Proactively identify supply chain, production, logistics, trade compliance, and transportation risks, developing mitigation and recovery plans to minimize project impacts.

  • Lead supplier expediting efforts through regular progress review meetings, performance tracking, status reporting, and executive-level communications.

  • Coordinate transportation planning and execution, including domestic and international shipments, port operations, customs clearance, warehousing, and final delivery to project sites.

  • Monitor and report key supply chain performance metrics, critical-path equipment status, shipment tracking, delivery forecasts, and risk assessments.

  • Support project teams during development and construction phases by providing supply chain expertise, schedule assessments, and logistics planning.

  • Verify supply chain mapping and product origin documentation to ensure compliance with applicable trade regulations and company requirements.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within applicable project management, document management, and reporting systems.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Logistics, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Project Management, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing logistics, transportation, material expediting, or supply chain operations for utility-scale renewable energy, power generation, transmission, industrial, or large capital projects.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating supplier manufacturing schedules, transportation activities, and equipment delivery execution.

  • Strong knowledge of international trade compliance, customs regulations, and import requirements, including:

    • Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA)

    • Anti-Dumping and Countervailing Duties (AD/CVD)

    • Sections 201 and 301 of the Trade Act

    • Customs duties, tariffs, country-of-origin requirements, and import/export regulations

  • Experience evaluating and mitigating supply chain risks associated with manufacturing, logistics, transportation, and project execution.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

  • Proficiency with:

    • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote)

    • Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% or as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification such as APICS/ASCM (CPIM, CSCP), CPSM, PMP, Certified Logistics Professional, or equivalent.

  • Experience supporting the development and construction of utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects.

  • Familiarity with heavy-haul transportation, oversized cargo movements, port operations, and international freight management.

  • Experience working with major renewable energy equipment suppliers.

  • Proficiency with:

    • Power BI and data visualization tools

    • Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled business applications

    • Vessel tracking and logistics monitoring platforms

    • Scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC)

  • Experience developing executive-level supply chain dashboards and project reporting.
