HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE 
JOB DESCRIPTION

I. Basic Function

You are responsible (along with other facilities team members) for the repairs and maintenance of all facilities within a small geographical region (10 miles or less)

You will coordinate outside contractors or vendors for various services as needed and authorized by the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.

II. Essential Functions

Daily functions:

• Acts as one of the primary contacts for corporate employees on any building issues (HVAC and space temperatures, cleanliness, smoke, odors, spills, damage, emergencies and repairs)

• Will receive, manage, and complete work through computerized work ticket system.

• Communicate status and closure of work tickets to customers in a timely fashion via computerized system and face to face interaction.

• Monitors contractor performance and works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications. Reports out on contractor performance to Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.

• May act as the project coordinator for various size projects including large scale repair and

new facility construction projects.

• Will be required to respond to building emergencies on a 24-hour rotating weekly “on call” basis with other members of the facility team.

• Assists the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor in preparing the annual maintenance budget.

• Solicits bids, quotes, and submits PO’s from vendors for various services throughout the year.

• Performs routine repairs other maintenance duties or transportation of goods as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.

YOU ARE 

• Able to effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees,

  Contractors, and vendors.

• A self-starter and team player.

• Organized and provide deliverables in support of project plans.

• Have basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (E-mail, Word, Excel)

• Able to interpret building blueprints including electrical, mechanical, architectural.

YOU HAVE 

• Minimum high school diploma or GED Equivalent.

• 5+ years’ experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or related field is preferred.

• Must have in-depth mechanical understanding of how systems work (facility-related)
