Job Summary
The Technical Repair Manager is responsible for overseeing daily repair operations, leading a team of technicians, and ensuring that all products meet quality and performance standards. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership and process improvement to drive efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement within the repair function. The role also serves as a key liaison with the executive team, providing updates on performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead repair technicians on a daily basis
- Assign workloads and manage team schedules to meet production demands
- Train, mentor, and evaluate technician performance
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting guidance
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols
- Develop, implement, and improve repair and testing procedures
- Identify recurring issues and implement long-term corrective actions
- Improve efficiency to meet production goals
- Ensure repaired and tested products meet quality standards
- Handle escalated complaints and complex technical issues
- Oversee Cold Storage area management
- Ensure QA Bay system PMs are completed on time
- Maintain documentation for audits and compliance
- Manage CT/MR R&D pipeline list and collaborate on projects
- Maintain production output aligned with FG inventory requirements
- Interface with executive leadership to report on operational performance, risks, and improvement initiatives
