Wapato Shores Accessible Transportation is looking for a Transportation Supervisor to help ensure older adults and people living with disabilities have access to safe, reliable, and dignified transportation. This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, compassionate, and enjoys working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You’ll play a key role in dispatching, scheduling, fleet coordination, and training support timecard review for drivers, credentialing assistance, drug screen coordination, corrective action, supporting drivers, and helping keep our transportation services running smoothly each day. This position may will also provide support to our partner program, Evergreen Ambulance in the future.

What You’ll Do:
As a Transportation Supervisor, your work will include a mix of coordination, communication, and problem-solving, such as:
Dispatch & Daily Operations
- Support drivers and leadership with trip changes, cancellations, same-day requests, and ETAs
- Dispatch drivers using phones, radios, and other communication tools
- Keep customers, brokers, and partners informed about trip status
- Confirm no-shows and cancellations and update schedules accordingly
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
- Review driver timecards to make sure they are accurate and complete
- Assist with credentialing drivers, vehicles, and the company
- Work with Operations Director to support and coach drivers
- Work with Operations Director to develop corrective action plans as needed
- Adjust schedule to assist with covering shifts when a member of the office staff is out, as needed 
Scheduling & Route Coordination
- Monitor routes and adjust schedules to improve efficiency and on-time performance
- Coordinate trip assignments with drivers, customers, and service partners
- Ensure schedules align with funding and network guidelines
Safety & Training Support
- Assist with vehicle safety checks and report issues
- Ensure vehicles are stocked with required safety equipment
- Coordinate with program leadership and fleet staff as needed
Customer Service & Community Engagement
- Provide warm, respectful, and patient service to every rider
- Represent Wapato Shores professionally with partners, funders, and the community
- Support inclusive practices that respect the needs and preferences of our riders
What We're Looking For: Must Have (Requirements) -
- Two years of college coursework or equivalent education/experience
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfort with computers and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well with diverse communities, partners, and team members
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Valid driving record that meets agency standards
- Ability to pass a national criminal background check
Nice to Have (Preferred Requirements) - 
- Experience working with older adults and people with disabilities
- Customer service or transportation coordination experience
- Knowledge of the local geographic area
- Experience with demand-response or public transportation
- Multilingual skills
Physical & Work Environment:
- Office-based role with frequent computer and phone use
- Prolonged sitting and occasional driving
- Occasional lifting up to 40 pounds
