Warehouse Crewmember

Rosemont's Warehouse team is at the heart of our operation, helping move some of the best local and specialty foods in Maine from our Headquarters to our retail markets. From fresh produce and deli provisions to prepared foods and baked goods, you'll work hands-on with a wide variety of high-quality, often highly perishable products.
This is an active, hands-on position that's a great fit for someone who enjoys staying busy, working as part of a team, and taking pride in doing things accurately and well. No two days are exactly the same-you might be picking orders, receiving deliveries, organizing inventory, loading a vehicle, or delivering products to one of our markets.
What You'll Do
Handle and care for great food.
- Receive, organize, and properly store a wide variety of grocery, produce, prepared food, bakery, and deli products.
- Take special care with seasonal, delicate, and highly perishable items.
- Monitor products for quality and freshness and report or remove damaged, expired, or subquality goods.
- Rotate stock and help maintain accurate inventory.
Build and deliver orders.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for delivery to Rosemont markets.
- Load and unload products safely and efficiently.
- Drive Rosemont vehicles to deliver orders to our retail locations.
- Accurately handle delivery invoices and other required paperwork.
Keep things organized and running smoothly.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and food-storage spaces.
- Participate in inventory counts, sanitation, and routine cleaning.
- Help care for company vehicles, equipment, and warehouse tools.
- Safely operate equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Communicate important supply, inventory, delivery, and operational information with the Warehouse team and other departments.
- Work with supervisors and coworkers to identify ways to make our systems and processes more efficient.
Be a dependable part of the team.
- Communicate operational issues, safety concerns, injuries, and equipment or vehicle maintenance needs promptly.
- Follow Rosemont policies, procedures, and food-safety practices.
- Attend required trainings and certifications.
- Pitch in with other tasks as needed to help the Warehouse and company succeed.

Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Previous experience in warehousing, inventory management, delivery, food distribution, or a related field is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Experience driving larger vehicles or working with warehouse equipment is a plus.
What to Expect
This is an in-person, hands-on position based at Rosemont Headquarters, with regular deliveries to our retail markets.
- Work will take place between Headquarters and Rosemont retail locations.
- Schedule and hours will be determined with the Warehouse Manager.
- The position includes extended periods of driving a box truck and/or Sprinter van.
- Warehouse and production areas can be moderately to loudly noisy.
- Required trainings and certifications may be part of the position.
Physical Requirements
This position involves active physical work throughout the day. You should be able to:
- Lift and carry cartons or bags weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Bend, lift, twist, squat, and reach regularly.
- Remain standing and moving throughout the shift.
- Safely operate a pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
- Drive and maneuver a larger vehicle.
