Gensco has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Lead for our Shipping Team at our branch in Portland, Oregon!

Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for supervising the day-to-day warehousing, delivery, and customer service functions of the Shipping Team
- Responsible for Team building, implementing continuous education processes for all Branch Team Members, establishing objective and measurable goals, and clearly communicating these goals and standards to Branch Team
- Train Team Members meeting Company standards
- Maintain a positive, helpful attitude toward fellow Team Members and Customers
- Comply with Company Standard Operating Procedures and maintain safe work practices and security
- Suggest and implement improvements in warehouse cost management, best practices, and operational process design and implementation
 Education/Experience/Skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- AA degree preferred or equivalent work experience preferred
- 2+ years related experience with Gensco or equivalent preferred
- Prior direct customer service experience – desire to work directly with Customers
- Excellent knowledge of the products Gensco sells
- Understanding of Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Warehouse, and Delivery functions
- Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
- Strong decision-making abilities - understanding the impact and implications of decisions
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong people management and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to organize people and resources to get the job done
- Able to operate computer terminal, personal computer, and office machines
- Able to communicate with the public in person and on the phone
- Able to work sitting or standing and move freely throughout the facility(s)
- Able to lift and carry equipment, supplies, and inventory on a frequent basis
- Able to organize people within the TDC/Branch and promote teamwork
