The Warehouse Attendant is a vital part of the supply chain process. This person will support efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide range of goods including spare parts, wear parts and consumables of various kind, origin and durability. Further this position includes all matters relating to safety and environmentally compliant plant operations.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Work to ensure all Safety, Security and Environmental Policies are adhered to by Warehouse Personnel.
  • Cooperate with customers, suppliers, transport companies, and plant employees.
  • Use heavy equipment to load and unload products to and from shelves.
  • Enter the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods using the SAP Material Management System.
  • Have a clear understanding of the company's targets contributes by proper warehouse organization and operation.
  • Walk down equipment and complete equipment checklist before operating any equipment to check for any hazards or damages that need to be reported. 
  • Assist in controlling inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage system.
  • Prepare Goods Receipts and attaching all necessary paperwork properly.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, to ensure safe and environmentally compatible storage and handling of goods.
  • Support planned maintenance activities of vehicles, machinery and mobile equipment.
  • Keep track of warehouse equipment, and if needed to be borrowed by other departments, ensuring that it is returned to the department in a timely manner and in the same condition as it was checked out.
  • Utilize Dockzilla to unload deliveries and ensuring that material is transferred safely to the appropriate storage area.
  • Secure company property by following protection policies and procedures.
  • Fill in for shift vacancies when needed. 24-hour coverage for the warehouse is required. 
  • Create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 Qualifications:

  • Approx. 3 to 5 years’ experience in industrial warehouse operation.
  • Approx. 3 to 5 years’ experience in operations of warehouse equipment (forklift, crane, etc.) 
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) preferred.
  • Data Entry Skills, Data Entry Management, and Data Processing. 
  • Must be able to walk long distances and stand and work for more than 2 hours in tough environmental conditions (high temperature, high humidity, noise, & dust), lift 50 Lbs. and withstand heights of up to 500 feet. 
  • Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC-card.
