About The Position

Our client is seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine physician for a locum tenens position in Maine, starting July 21, 2025, for a 152-day contract. This role offers flexibility with the choice of 4 10-hour days or 5 8-hour days, and no nights, weekends, holidays, or call duties. The ideal candidate should be a board certified Internal Medicine MD licensed in Maine with active ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications. 5 years of outpatient experience, preferably in rural healthcare is requested.


Start Date: 2025-07-21

Contract Length: 152 days


Shift Hours: Choose between 4 10-hour days, Tuesday-Friday, or 5 8-hour days, Monday-Friday. Enjoy your work-life balance with no nights, weekends, holidays, call back, etc.


Duties Include:

  • Providing comprehensive care in an outpatient internal medicine setting
  • Utilizing the Meditech EHR system for efficient patient documentation
  • Adhering to the highest standards of medical practice, ethics, and professionalism at all times


Requirements:

  • MD (Provider Type)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (Required Board Certifications)
  • Valid ME medical license (Licenses Needed)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in an outpatient internal medicine setting, with a preference for candidates with rural healthcare experience
