Function: Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.

Required experience: Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the field of DOD military aviation maintenance in the last ten (10) years. Of the five (5) years, the Contractor shall have a

minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the area of aeronautical welding in an aviation maintenance environment. Must have demonstrated knowledge, experience, and working level

skills/ability in area of aviation and aerospace welding, and structures sheet metal and fabrication. Must follow Military Specifications 1595 in the following materials: Steel, Stainless

Steel, Aluminum.

Required education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Graduate of a school equivalent to Navy A and/or C school or Certificate of Welding.

**Where there are conflicts between Department of Labor 23010 category description and the NAVAIR Manual NA 01-1A-34, the NA 01-1A-34 takes precedence.
