Job Description

  

Position Summary

The Production Control Assistant supports the planning, coordination, and execution of production activities for Penetrator products and assigned programs at Teledyne DGO. This role assists with schedule management, work order tracking, material coordination, and cross‑functional communication to ensure production goals, program milestones, and customer commitments are met. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Production Control and Program teams in coordinating daily production activities for Penetrator builds and assigned programs

  • Assist with production scheduling, job tracking, and work order status updates within ERP/MRP systems (e.g., IFS Cloud)

  • Monitor and report on production progress, shortages, and schedule risks

  • Help coordinate material availability by working closely with Purchasing, Stockroom, and Manufacturing

  • Prepare and maintain production documentation, reports, and trackers to support program visibility

  • Assist with planning meetings, production reviews, and program status updates

  • Track open issues, action items, and deliverables related to production and program execution

  • Support Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing with documentation flow, revisions, and shop floor needs

  • Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of production records and system transactions

  • Comply with all company policies, safety requirements, and quality standards

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in business, manufacturing, or supply chain preferred

  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, production control, scheduling, or administrative support (preferred)

  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

  • Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams in a production environment

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment (Aerospace, Defense, Oil & Gas, or similar)

  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems such as IFS, SAP, or similar

  • Basic understanding of production planning, material flow, and manufacturing processes

  • Experience supporting multiple programs or product lines simultaneously

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing and office environment

  • Occasional walking on the production floor

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed
