We are currently looking for a:

 

Water Country - Retail Supervisor

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

The Retail Supervisor is responsible for managing operations of one or more retail locations including training, accountability, visual merchandising, inventory controls, cashier duties and quality controls.

Supervisory Duties:

· Supervise the daily operations of the Retail team

· Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Water Country’s core values

· Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team members

· Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all retail positions

· Participate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including training, performance coaching, and discipline.

· Ensure that all required meals and other breaks are being given in accordance with NH law

· Ensure daily sign-in sheets are completed and submitted each day

· Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activities

Departmental Duties:

· Welcome and greet all guests as they enter the retail shop

· Conduct opening and closing procedures of retail shop

· Manage inventory levels by completing daily stocking of gift shop, checking in orders, and moving inventory

· Ensure a variety of items are available for guests to purchase and that store shelves are fully stocked

· Proactively communicate inventory needs to leadership before items are sold out

· Collaborate with Guest Experience Manager to merchandise stores and improve product sales

· Ensure employees are adhering to departmental and company policies (theft of merchandise/counterfeit training/etc.)

· Monitor cashier activities to ensure continuous accuracy and compliance with POS procedures.

· Ensure merchandise is well stocked and organized

· Maximize unit visual merchandising standards.

· Maintain cleanliness of store areas including exteriors.

· Manage inventory, focusing on stock par levels, shrink and waste controls.

· Be on alert for possible theft

· Report maintenance or safety concerns to a supervisor or manager in a timely manner

· All other duties as assigned by leadership

Education & Experience:

· Equivalent work experience will be considered

· 2+ years of previous retail or point of sale work experience

· 1+ years of previous supervisor experience leading a team of employees

Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

Requirements:

· Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with NH Labor Laws

· Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

· Ability to work flexible hours that extend beyond 9am to 5pm

· Ability to comply with all uniform policies

· Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner

· Ability to positively engage with guests to promote sales and customer satisfaction

· Must be able to speak with guests directly when other retail leadership is not present

· Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

· Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills

· Must possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

· Previous experience with Point of Sale (POS) technology and PCI compliance a plus

· Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday

· Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders

· Ability to use a step ladder in a safe and proper manner

· Ability to remain sedentary for periods of time, while using a computer or POS equipment

· Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 40 pounds or more

Working Conditions:

· This role will be based in one retail location, with exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments

· Subject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activities

· Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather conditions

· Some exposure to dust and chemical cleaning agents
