Job Summary
Raycap, Inc. is looking for a Freight & Logistics Manager to join our team! Based out of the Post Falls, ID. facility, the Freight & Logistics Manager will manage our inbound transportation and logistics activities, focusing on achieving cost effective, timely material deliveries to our facilities.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate the logistical transportation planning activities to include road, air, and sea for materials
- Thorough understanding and management of Incoterms to help ensure smooth transactions
- Ensure regulatory compliance and management of all necessary documentation associated with the transportation of goods across international borders; experience in navigating the customs process to ensure on time delivery of products
- Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and brokers, including performance, service levels, and rate negotiations
- Focus on freight cost optimization by reviewing and analyzing possible transportation consolidations, routes, and modes while maintaining adherence to service levelsÂ
- Maintain accurate logistics documentation and support audits related to freight and trade compliance
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years applicable experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of incoterms, international shipping, and customs import/export requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Clear written and verbal communication skillsÂ
