Connelly School of the Holy Child is a Catholic, college preparatory school, committed to the intellectual, spiritual, artistic, physical, and social development of young women in grades 6 through 12. Responsibilities include: Â
- Teach middle school courses in English and Social Studie and leads an advisory. Â
- Foster a classroom environment that is conducive to the intellectual, social, and emotional development of young women.Â
- Collaborate with other middle school teachers in the division to support student learning.Â
- Collaborate with other middle school teachers to plan curriculum and cross curricular enrichment.Â
- Communicate effectively and consistently with students, parents, staff, and community.Â
- Maintain appropriate records, student progress reports, and follow required procedures and practices.Â
- Integrate the use and care of technology, equipment, materials, and facilities adequately.Â
- An active commitment to enhancing our school community through involvement on committees and in student life activities.Â
- Build culturally responsive classroom that fosters a sense of belonging and ensures that all students feel respected and challenged.Â
- Develop, select, and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse population.Â
Ideal Candidate will possess:Â
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in English or Social Studies education or general education with experience at the middle/secondary level.Â
- Teacher preparation program completion or certification preferred.Â
- Strong commitment to inquiry-based learning and laboratory investigations.Â
- Knowledge of best practices and strategies to effectively engage students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.Â
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills among students.Â
- Familiarity or experience teaching with Common Core or State ELA and/or social studies standards.Â
- Commitment to embrace the school’s mission and values, with a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and learning.Â

Pay is commensurate with education and experience, and is calculated according to a school-wide pay scale. ($50,000 - $102,00)
