Account Executive – Semiconductor Solutions, US West Coast

As we enter this next phase of growth, we are now looking for a Account Executive for Western US to help expand our business and strengthen our position in one of our most important markets.
Position Summary
Precise is seeking a motivated and results-driven Account Executive to accelerate our biometric system and sensor business growth through new customer acquisition and expansion of strategic accounts. The candidate must have experience selling semiconductor, embedded, or technology solutions, a passion for developing new business opportunities, the ability to work independently and to build strong relationships across technical and commercial organizations. Experience in biometrics is a plus, and a West Coast location is preferred due to proximity to key customers and technology partners.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development & Customer Acquisition
Identify, qualify, and develop new customer opportunities across target markets, including consumer electronics, PC, IoT, access control, payments, and other strategic segments.
Proactively generate and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, industry events, referrals, and market research.
Develop, execute and accelerate account penetration strategies to establish relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and technical stakeholders within prospective customers.
Drive customer engagement from initial contact through evaluation, design-in, commercial negotiation, and production ramp.
Consistently meet or exceed pipeline generation, design-win, and revenue growth objectives.
Customer Development & Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, prospects, partners, and key stakeholders to establish trust and drive long-term business growth.
Develop a deep understanding of customer requirements, market trends, and business challenges to position solutions effectively.
Leverage existing industry relationships while actively expanding a professional network within the semiconductor, consumer electronics, PC, IoT, and related technology markets, preferably including biometrics.
Sales Execution & Design Wins
Drive design-in and design-win opportunities in alignment with the sales strategy and business objectives.
Lead customer engagements throughout the sales cycle, coordinating commercial and technical activities required to secure new business.
Collaborate with engineering, product management, and application teams to provide customers with technical and commercial information needed for successful evaluations and product adoption.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts, opportunity tracking, and account plans using CRM tools and processes.
Channel & Partner Management
Develop and support relationships with distribution partners, channel partners, and ecosystem stakeholders to identify and capture new business opportunities.
Coordinate internally and externally to ensure customer requirements, forecasts, product availability, and project milestones are met.
Facilitate effective communication between customers and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
Monitor competitive offerings, market trends, customer requirements, and emerging technologies.
Gather and communicate market intelligence to leadership, including customer feedback, competitive positioning, and new business opportunities.
Represent Precise at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and networking activities to enhance market visibility, generate leads, and strengthen industry relationships.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing teams to support customer engagements, evaluations, and product launches.
Contribute to achieving project milestones and business objectives through effective coordination and follow-through.
Help identify opportunities to improve sales processes, customer engagement strategies, and overall commercial effectiveness.
Process & Culture
Follow company policies, processes, and CRM best practices while maintaining accurate opportunity and customer records.
Act as a positive ambassador for Precise’ values, culture, and brand.
Contribute ideas and initiatives that support innovation, customer success, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required
2–7 years of sales, business development, account management, or field application sales experience within the semiconductor, electronics, embedded systems, or technology industries.
Technical aptitude and ability to understand semiconductor products, system architectures, and customer application requirements.
Demonstrated success in prospecting, developing, and winning new customer business.
Experience managing complex sales opportunities involving both technical and commercial stakeholders.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of working independently and driving results.
Willingness to travel as needed to support customer engagements and industry events.
Preferred
Experience selling semiconductor components, embedded solutions, security technologies, or related products.
Experience with biometric, security, embedded, PC, mobile, IoT, or consumer electronics markets.
Background working with cross-functional global teams.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Location and reporting lines
The position is part of a global sales organization and reports to VP Sales North America. West Coast United States location is preferred (California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, or surrounding states), with flexibility for the right candidate.
