About the Role:
Join our team at Steel and Metal Service Center as a Tractor Trailer Driver in Pottsville, PA.Â
Responsibilities:
- Operate tractor trailers safely and efficiently on designated route
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies during transportation.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle.
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving tractor trailers.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety practices.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
