Job DetailsJob Location: Poughkeepsie NY - Poughkeepsie, NY 12603Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Minimum 4 Year DegreeJob Category: Structural Bridge DesignPoughkeepsie, NY office of Modjeski and Masters is seeking Civil Bridge Design Engineers with at least 4 years of related bridge design experience  What We’re Looking For At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University Ideal Candidates will be within 6 months of obtaining a valid PE license  Minimum of 4 years related Bridge Design experience  What You’ll Do Review and check standard structural design calculations. Perform structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software. Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans. Provide information for design reports. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including field inspections and construction service assignments. Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence. Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans. Review and check drawings. Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc. Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc. Why Join Us?
